When I became pregnant with Teddy, I went through the process of swapping out a lot of my go-to products for natural versions, and deodorant was no exception. I have always had kind of sweaty armpits (sorry) so I was nervous I would be a sweaty, smelly hot mess if I switched to aluminum-free from my tried and true Degree Clinical Protection. But I was wrong! It took a week or so for my body to adjust, but I haven’t looked back since. Here are a few you may consider trying.

If you sweat a lot or live in a warm climate

Lavanila – The Healthy Deodorant   – This is my top pick, I’ve been using it for almost 2 years. Comes in a variety of scents, leaves zero residue, and keeps my sweat and smells well at bay. My favorite of the scents is Summer Vanilla (which is only available during the summer – so I buy a few at a time to stock up!)

 Schmidt’s – Deodorant Stick  – This is what my husband Alex uses (they have tons of great scents for Women and Men). They also have a gift set of mini sticks you can buy to test them all out, and are perfect for travel! My only bone to pick here is that the product can get clumpy after awhile.

If you like a spray format

Toby And Rosie – Patchouli Natural Deodorant – Unisex, comes in a cool amber bottle. I love this product because it smells like a sexy woman (or maybe a sexy man) that I want to hang out with. It’s not my top pick though because of the spray format – I prefer to make sure all my of sweaty glands are being addressed by aggressively applying a stick to them.

If you like a cream format

Captain Blankenship – Lime & Vetiver Cream Deodorant – Again with my format preferences. I simply don’t like sticking my hands in a jar and then rubbing them on my armpits. I prefer products that don’t require finger-to-armpit contact. If that doesn’t bother you, Captain Blankenship is a great option – cool, beachy scent and long-lasting.

If You’re NOT sweaty and do not need a lot of antiperspirant features

(MALIN+GOETZ) – Eucalyptus Deodorant – This roll-on format has a refreshing citrus scent and glides easily for a clear, residue-free application. I am too sweaty for this product. If you are not sweaty, you’d probably love it. I wish it worked for me.
