Hey Mom. Hey Dad.
My name is Brittany. I’m a wife and a mother of two rascal boys and a sweet baby girl who happily climb into bed every night and sleep until 7 AM. I spend my evenings relaxing with a glass of wine and chatting with my husband, and then we both get a solid eight hours of uninterrupted sleep….
……and in a few weeks, that’s going to be your reality too.
I will never forget the first time I realized how much sleep mattered. So there I was, in an important meeting at my serious corporate job in New York, and I heard someone snoring next to me. Yes, some casual 11 AM snoring in a conference room. A very senior member of our team had FALLEN ASLEEP. I gently kicked his chair and he startled awake and whispered “sorry I was up all night with the baby.” Holy Moly. Unbeknownst to him and everyone else, I was six weeks pregnant with my first child. I decided right then and there that I would, under no circumstances, be the one passed out in a board meeting a year later.
Thus began my journey as a sleep student. I began devouring everything I could find about infant sleep. Using a combination of scientific research and my innate maternal instincts, I developed and implemented a unique strategy that had both of my kids sleeping through the night at three months old. Suddenly, a lot of sleepless Moms in my life wanted to know exactly how I’d done it.
Now, to be clear, I had many sleepless nights at the beginning.
(Newborns need to eat a lot!) And parenting has had it’s challenges for me just like everyone else. Like….why does no one talk about how breastfeeding is SO HARD? And don’t even get me started on potty training regressions and vegetable strikes. But having an entire family that is well rested every. single. day?
That makes the parenting game a whole lot easier.
I quickly went from a well rested Mom to a well rested advice giver to anyone and everyone I knew. After spending years fielding late night calls from stressed out friends with sleepless kids, I decided it was time to support struggling parents outside my immediate circle. I began my formal certification from The Cradle Coach Academy in 2019, and have since taken hundreds of families from exhausted to energized in a matter of weeks.
In order to better support my clients, I have also received certification from The Institute of Pediatric Sleep & Parenting in Potty Training, and have completed post-graduate coursework & certifications from Stanford University in Child Mental Health & Development, Lactation & Infant Feeding, and Pediatric Nutrition.
Outside of running Brittany Sheehan Sleep, I mentor and educate new sleep consultants as the Chief Brand Officer of The Sleep Sorority, and sit on the leadership team of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants, the largest and most reputable international organization of certified sleep consultants.
I maintain strong relationships with 10+ pediatric practices across the country, including those with affiliations at some of the most reputable hospital networks in the United States, including Mt. Sinai, NYU Langone, and Weill Cornell in New York, Cedar Sinai, St. Johns, and UCLA in California, and Yale-New Haven, Greenwich Hospital, and Cohen Childrens in Connecticut.
When we reached out to Brittany for help, our three month old little boy was only taking naps on mommy, and sleeping until 4am at night, but always waking up and not going back to sleep.
After only a few days of following our specific sleeping and eating plan from Brittany, our son was napping and sleeping through the night like he’d been doing it for weeks. Brittany is the most amazingly, wonderful, hilarious, and supportive person and by the end of our two weeks with her, I felt like I had to say goodbye to a good friend. She answered emails and texts within minutes and helped me get through what I thought would be the hardest part of having a baby. I cannot recommend her enough and I would say splurge for the biggest package!
